Committee Charge & Composition

Description
The Board creates the Task Force on Revisions of the SAA Principles of Archaeological Ethics: Stage Three, with the following charge. Based on the report, raw survey data, and recommendations of the Task Force on Revisions of the SAA Principles of Archaeological Ethics: Stage Two, the charge of the Task Force on Revisions of the SAA Principles of Archaeological Ethics: Stage Three (TF-3) will be revising or rewriting the SAA ethical principles as needed. The Task Force will seek input from membership and consult with relevant committees. The Task Force report also will examine/detail the impacts of any new policies proposed in conjunction with revised/new principles on staff workload, existing charges of SAA Committees, and SAA finances. They will present a strategy, work plan, and timeline for their draft final report to the Board by September 30, 2021. Following Board approval, a draft report will be disseminated to the membership for a comment period and subsequent revision if necessary.
